Jan 12, 2015 · I had same problem on my A6 2006 and AUDI repaired it under WARRANTY. They replace all four door bottoms to version from facelift model and painted lower sides of all doors. If you fit bottoms from facelift version you must cut off old fitting pins from the doors and paint it.

Depending on year there are two different types fitted, one is an hours labour the other is 3-4! Guess which one I had, thankfully I know an Audi tech who helped reduce the cost!

The procedure is: Remove the screws at the top ends of the door panel. Remove the window regulator switch. Lift the door trim up about eight inches and pull it free from the door. Detach the cable for the inner door handle. Disconnect all the electrical connectors after marking them for ease of reconnection.
